Likud MK Dannon asks settlers' forgiveness for treatment like "second class citizens," says "Likud returning to right track."

MK Danny Danon (Likud) on Sunday called on US President Barack Obama "to respect our [Israel's] democracy and right to live in a sovereign Israel."

Danon, speaking in English, was at an event to mark the end of the ten month settlement freeze in which settlers lay the foundations for a new kindergarten in Kiryat Netafim. Thousands of settlers attended in the event it what was a strong show of support for the continuation of building within the territories. The Likud MK said that we have a lot of respect for you [Obama] but the building freeze did not move the peace process forward and it did not stop the violence or incitement.

Danon asked his fellow brothers for forgiveness "for treating them like second class citizens."

"Today we continue with the Zionist vision," Danon continued.

Switching back to Hebrew Danon called on Netanyahu to be strong, even against Obama's threats. "We are behind you," he continued.

"Likud is returning to the right track," Danon said. "Everyone will come back and we will continue to build."

Comment:
Until the government, the media, academia starts using the correct and accurate descriptors dissension will remain within Israel. Those choosing to live in the disputed territories of Judea and Samaria are indeed ISRAELI CITIZENS-don't believe it, check their ids. Fact #2-of course these are disputed, what do you think the discussions have been about between Israel and the "Palestinians" all of these years? You cannot ignore this circumstance-you can choose to distort it, misinform others and even lie-none changes the facts!!
